Payment Options - this payment form must accompany registration forms.

The cost for the programme is $100 for each Award.

Your daughter has started her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Hillary Award. She is currently in the process of completing her skill, service and physical recreation components of the Award.

To complete your Bronze Award you must complete four (4) Sections of the Award:

Please note all awards sections must be completed and submitted to Miss McCarthy by Monday 11 September 2017 to pass your Award.

Key Dates

2016 Presentation evening – now Tuesday 28 February 2017 at 6.30pm

On successful completion of the Award, your daughter will receive her Bronze Award at Presentation evening in the PAC at Sacred Heart College. This is to be attended by participants and Parents/ Guardians.

2017 Presentation evening – Thursday 26 October 2017

Bronze Qualifying Expedition - 1 night, 2 days

Wednesday 3 May – information evening (6.00-6.20pm) in G3

Expedition Date:     Saturday 6 May - Sunday 7 May 2017 
Venue:  Orongorongos, Rimutaka Forest Park, Tararuas

Your daughter's qualifying expedition will take place during school time. As part of your daughter's Bronze Award, she will be required to attend planning meetings and complete a pre-planning work book for her expedition. Information regarding these, will be given to her closer to the time. All meetings are compulsory and failure to attend these planning meetings could impact her place on the expedition.

A reminder:

  • Each section must be signed off by the same person each time – please refer to your white sheet.
  • Family members cannot be your assessor.
  • If you are unsure of any of the sections, please check with the Coordinator before continuing or the Duke of Edinburgh website http://www.dofehillary.org.nz/
  • Your skill section is a non-physical component of Award.
