Private Bass Guitar lessons are offered to students attending Sacred Heart College. Lessons are held during school hours.
Lessons are offered individually and tailored to the needs of the student.
Private music lessons are recommended for students taking NCEA Music subjects: MUS101, MUS202, or MUS303.

Bass Guitar (private lessons) 2024 Fees & Terms
Fees:
Private music lessons are $35 per half hour lesson, multiplied by the number of weeks in a term.
A ten-week term will cost $350 for private music lessons.
A contract is signed between the student's family and the private music tutor, with payment being made directly to the private music tutor at the beginning of each term.
Terms:
- Students learning Bass Guitar may use a school instrument for their music lessons at no charge. However, they will be required to have their own instrument at home to practice on during the week.
- Students may bring their own instrument to school for their music lesson each week.
- Students who are enrolled in private music lessons are encouraged to be part of a music group at school. Groups include: String Orchestra, Jazz Combo, Concert Band, Te Rōpū Reo Manawa, Jazz/Funk Band and Barbershop Chorus and Quartets.
- Students who are enrolled in private music lessons are encouraged to perform in one of the Itinerant Music Concerts during the year.
- Payment for lessons is required in full at the beginning of each term.
Please only enrol for music lessons if you are committed to attending the lessons and practicing regularly in your own time.
