Basketball is strong at Sacred Heart, with the Senior A team playing in the Premiership Division in 2024. For 2024 we plan to have a senior A and Senior B team, also a range of Junior teams from beginner to advanced players. 

• Game Day Juniors: Year 9 &10:  Tuesdays - starting 7th May
• Game Day Seniors: Year 11-13:  Fridays - starting 10th May
• Game Times: start from 4.00pm
• Venue(s): various schools in Wellington, Senior A also play at  Akau Tangi (ASB) Sports Centre in Kilbirnie
• Uniform: Basketball singlets and shorts are provided. Senor and Junior A players are encouraged to buy a warm-up top. 
• Ability: Novice to experienced players 
• Fee: $95
• 1st Team Levy: $35 (Applies to players selected for the Senior A Team only)
• Closing Date: 2 February (for registration and payment)
• Trial Dates: TBC

Commitment and Communication

When you join a sports team, you must be fully committed to the team and attend all trainings and games. You are expected to tell your coach/manager if you are unable to attend a session. 

NOTE: If a student is selected for the Senior A Team, they will be charged a levy of $35 (over and above the $95 registration fee) to cover the additional costs charged by CSW. This will be charged after selection.
