Competitive Badminton Teams: We have a number of teams who play in the Hutt Valley League from Division 1 to Division 3. This competition is for confident Badminton players who know the rules and have some experience of playing. If you played Badminton at school last year, you will have enough experience to play competitively. Students attend trials and are placed into teams that play in the College Sport Wellington Hutt Valley league. The competitive teams play a longer season, in term 2 and 3 (May to August).

Social Badminton Teams: We do welcome friend groups who want to play in the weekly competition (you need 5 or 6 players in your team and a parent manager, pick up a form from the sports office to enter your team). You are welcome to come to the trainings on a Wednesday but this is not a requirement for social badminton teams. The social teams play a shorter season in term 2 only (8 weeks, May to June).

• Game Day: Juniors Year 9 &10:  Thursdays (starting 8 May)
• Game Day: Seniors Year 11-13:  Fridays (starting 9 May)
• Times: 4.00pm - 5.30pm
• Venue(s): various schools in the Hutt Valley
• Training times: Wednesdays 3.30pm - 4.30pm
• Uniform: PE Uniform and sneakers
• Equipment: Players must have their own Badminton racquet.
• Ability: Students who know the rules and who have played before 
• Fee: $30 
• Closing Date: 31 January 2025 (for registration and payment)
• Pre-season / Have a go: Wednesday 2 April 2025: 3.30pm - 5.00pm
• Trials: Wednesday 9 April: 3.30pm - 5.00pm

NOTE: Appropriate school behaviour and attendance standards are a requirement for a student to participate in extra-curricular activities.
