Kia ora whanau/caregivers

As you are aware we are at level 4 and Sacred Heart College is closed for the next 3 days  - please take care of yourself and others – be kind.

The plan for the next 3 days for our school is as follows;

Wednesday 18th  - students are to complete any work set already, catch up on assessments/assignments, use Education perfect, read a book etc

Curriculum teaching and learning resources (with guidance for parents) can be found online here for English-medium and here for Māori-medium

Home Learning TV can be accessed on demand here or via the TVNZ App on a device (mobile phone, smart tv or tablet)

Mauri Reo, Mauri Ora can be accessed on demand from Māori TV for primary-aged tamariki and here for secondary school rangatahi

Expectations for students when working from home

Subjects:

  • Follow your timetable where possible, starting with week B from Thursday 19th August
  • Your resources for the day will be online by 9am on Thursday and Friday. 
  • Check in with your teacher using the mode of working that they have set up with you, e.g. email, Teams, Zoom 
  • Check where you need to access your work for each subject- TEAMS, OneNote
  • Check whether you are required to join a Zoom meeting at the start of the lesson, if you can’t make it, let your teacher know
  • If you have any questions, get in touch with your teachers via email or Teams
  • Check that you know when NCEA internals are due and what evidence (work) you need to provide

AKO

Teachers/ deans:

  • Your AKO teachers will touch base with you during the day
  • But if you have any concerns/ questions, email them
  • Deans are there for you as well, contact them if you need to

We will update you as we are made aware of further information especially in regard to weekend sport and activities.
