Cello group lessons are offered to all students attending Sacred Heart College.
Lessons are held in small groups of 2-4 students.
Lessons run for 20-30 minutes, once a week, during school hours 8:45am-3:20pm.

Instruments are available to hire from Sacred Heart College or external providers, e.g. KBB Music or Music Works. Refer to "LINKS" for more information and the hire forms.

Cello (group lessons) 2025 Fees & Terms
Fees:
There is no charge for cello group lessons.
Instrument hire charges may apply.
Donation:
A Music Tuition donation of $5 per instrument for the year is requested by the Performing Arts Department for students enrolled in Itinerant music lessons. Payment details will be emailed to parent/caregivers once lessons have been confirmed.
Terms:
- Cello lessons run for 20-30 minutes, once a week, during school hours 8:45am-3:20pm.
- Students learning cello are required to either have their own instrument, or hire from school or an external provider e.g. KBB Music.
- Students must bring their instrument to school for their music lesson each week.
- There may be a wait list to learn cello. Students taking Music as a subject option in years 11-13 are given priority.
- Students who are enrolled in Itinerant music lessons are expected to be a member of a music group at school. Groups include: String Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Concert Band, Chamber Choir, Jazz/Funk Band and Barbershop Chorus.
- Students who are enrolled in Itinerant music lessons are expected to perform in one of the Itinerant Music Concerts during the year.
- Students who are enrolled in Itinerant music lessons are required to complete an Absence Form every time they are absent from a lesson. Students may be removed from lessons if they have three unexplained absences in a term.
- Appropriate school behaviour and school attendance standards are a requirement for a student to participate in extra-curricular activities.
Please only enrol for cello lessons if you are committed to attending the lessons and practicing regularly in your own time.
