Established in 1912 by Euphrasie Barbier, foundress of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions (RNDM), Sacred Heart College has long shaped and influenced the lives of young women. We honour this rich legacy and the Mission charism of Communion, Contemplation and Mission, which continues to guide all that we do.
We acknowledge Mana Whenua and recognise the significance of this land on which our school stands. We are committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi through our practices and relationships, and to building a community grounded in manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and whakamana.

At Sacred Heart College, we provide a faith-filled, inclusive and aspirational Catholic education. Our mission is to nurture young women of faith, courage and compassion who are prepared to make a meaningful contribution in an ever-changing world. The Catholic character of our school is lived through the daily witness of staff and students, as faith is integrated with learning, service, and relationships.
We hold high expectations for all ākonga and believe each student brings unique strengths, talents and potential. Through a broad and innovative curriculum, supported by modern learning environments and digital technologies, we empower students to pursue excellence across academic, cultural, sporting and service pathways.
Our proud tradition of achievement is reflected not only in academic success but also in vibrant participation in service, the arts, sport, leadership and co-curricular opportunities, including programmes such as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Hillary Award. Equally important is our commitment to wellbeing and personal growth, ensuring every student feels a strong sense of belonging and purpose.
We value the richness of our diverse community and warmly welcome international students and their whānau. Together, we foster a culture of care where relationships are central and each individual is known, supported and challenged to grow.
The Sacred Heart College graduate is a confident, compassionate and faith-filled young woman, who is ready to lead, to serve, and to respond with integrity to the opportunities and challenges of the world.
I warmly invite you to learn more about our special character and consider Sacred Heart College for the next stage of your daughter's educational journey. We look forward to walking alongside you and your whānau.
