NISS Junior Volleyball Win
NISS Junior Volleyball Win
Three of our Junior Volleyball teams played in the NISS Satellite tournament in Porirua last week and enjoyed great success. Being able to field three full teams in a top level tournament is amazing, and they all performed very well against teams from all over the North Island.
Our top team, the SHC Lions, progressed through the tournament unbeaten and didn't lose a single set the entire tournament. They beat New Plymouth Girls High 2-0 in the semis and then went on to win the final 2-0 against Hastings Girls High School.
Four of our students were named in the tournament team: Meleane Pole'o, Sydney Roma, Prezley Easthope and Ashlee Yee. To top it all, Ashlee Yee was named MVP of the tournament.
Well done to all our students who represented Sacred Heart, testament to our great volleyball programme led by Tessa and Nev. We also need to thank our senior players who give up their time to help coach the teams and are part of that success: Jada Skipper-King, Gibeon Pole'o and Violet Fa'asoa.
Update: They won the CSW Prem Division on 29 November, beating Wellington Girls in the final. A team to watch.
