School Donations

The Sacred Heart College School Donation is $300 per student per year

The School Donation is part of our College's revenue and contributes to the purchase of additional learning resources, maintenance of buildings and facilities, and capital expenditure not covered by Government funding.

All School Donations qualify for an income tax rebate.

The School Donation should be paid to Sacred Heart College Lower Hutt Board of Trustees ASB 12-3142-0263272-00.

Proprietor's Donations

Proprietor's Family Donation is $160 per family per year
Proprietor's PAC Donation is $185 per student per year

The Sacred Heart College land and buildings are owned by the Mission Colleges Lower Hutt Trust Board, the Proprietor of Sacred Heart College, a Board set up by the Mission Sisters who established the College over 100 years ago.

The Proprietor’s Family Donation of $160.00 per year is used for the upgrading of Sacred Heart College's existing buildings and facilities.

The Proprietor’s PAC Donation of $185.00 per year per student is used to assist in debt servicing in relation to the construction of the Performing Arts Centre, seismic strengthening of school buildings and the purchase of six relocatable classrooms.

Both Proprietor’s Donations qualify for income tax rebates. The Proprietor’s Donation requests will be sent to Parents/Caregivers by Sacred Heart College and can be paid to the Sacred Heart College ASB account.  Please ensure that your student's name is used as reference when transferring funds.

The Proprietor’s Donations should be paid to Sacred Heart College Lower Hutt Board of Trustees ASB 12-3142-0263272-00, to be forwarded on by the school.

Archdiocese of Wellington Attendance Dues

Archdiocese of Wellington Attendance Dues
$1,092 per student per year for 2024
$1,147 per student per year for 2025

Invoiced by Archdiocese of Wellington

Parents/caregivers will be invoiced by the Archdiocese of Wellington at the beginning of each term. Payment of Attendance Dues must be made directly to the Archdiocese of Wellington bank account (refer to their invoice).

Attendance Dues are required to be paid under the terms of the Integration Act and are determined annually by the Catholic Education Office and approved by the Minister of Education.

Attendance Dues go into the Archdiocesan Common Fund together with Attendance Dues from other Catholic schools in the Archdiocese. Funds are used primarily to service the historical and ongoing debt incurred by Catholic Schools to cover the cost of building improvements, as they form part of a collective arrangement of Catholic Schools which Sacred Heart College has been part of for many years. Attendance Dues do not contribute to the day to day operational costs of Sacred Heart College.

To contact the Archdiocese of Wellington -  phone 04-499 0184 or send an email (the email address is in the Attendance Dues Information brochure linked below).

These payments are not handled by the College.
In the event of financial hardship an interview with our Rebates Committee can be obtained through the College office.
