Experienced teacher
We are seeking a motivated and experienced teacher to join our English department commencing 28 January 2027.
Applicants will have a good understanding of the New Zealand English curriculum, the ability to teach English up to Year 13, hold current full NZ teacher registration and be eligible to work in New Zealand.
We are seeking someone who will encourage students to develop their love of language and literature. They will enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues to implement new initiatives and build positive, culturally responsive relationships. Please state other subjects.
The successful applicant will be able to work with and support our students, contribute to the development of an inclusive and supportive environment and be able to demonstrate commitment to honour the principles of Te Tiriti Waitangi and the College's values of Mana Atua, Mana Tangata, Mana Tīpuna, Mana Whenua, and Mana Mātauranga. Involvement with the College's extracurricular programme is also expected.
The successful applicant will be expected to recognise and respect the school’s Catholic special character and be actively involved in the total life of the school, in a manner which respects the religious instruction given and religious observances practiced within the school.

Sacred Heart College is looking for volunteer reader / writers to help us support students with class related tests and assessments over several days.
You will need good handwriting, spelling, and communication skills. Typing ability may also be an advantage. Training would be provided.
